Bio: Kim’s books have received starred reviews from Kirkus, Publisher’s Weekly, Booklist and Library Journal, and been finalists for the PEN Center USA Award and the Banff Mountain Book Award. His novel, Jimmy Bluefeather, won the National Outdoor Book Award and was named a top book of the year (as was his memoir, Rhythm of the Wild) by the Alaska Dispatch News. His work has appeared in Orion, Sierra, Audubon, National Geographic, The Los Angeles Times and elsewhere. He and his wife Melanie are creating the John Muir Alaska Leadership School on 18 acres next to Glacier Bay National Park.
