Kachemak Bay Writers' Conference: Held in Homer, Alaska, this nationally recognized annual writing conference features workshops, readings and panel presentations in fiction, poetry, nonfiction, and the business of writing.
The Island Institute: Residencies for writers to pursue their work and share it with the community in Sitka.
Denali Artist in Residence Program: Since 2002, offering professional artists the opportunity to pursue their work amidst the natural splendors of Denali Park. Online application now available.
49 Alaska Writing Center: A statewide nonprofit based in Anchorage, offering creative writing classes, retreats, events, and a collaborative writers'
blog.
North Words Writers Symposium: Small symposium in Skagway at end of May features workshops, readings, activities, most meals. Interact often with keynote author and Alaska faculty. UAS credit available.
Alaska Writers Guild: An Anchorage group that hosts a writers conference in Anchorage plus monthly meetings for members.
Alaska Book Festival: A Fairbanks celebration of books and all that goes into them.

Broadsided Press: Broadsided publishes monthly collaborations between writers and artists. Although international in scope, Broadsided Press was begun in Alaska and its mission and design were influenced by a sense of far-flung communities with little access to big-city resources. Several of our artists live in Alaska.
